When I think about the way. the universe pulled and pushed me toward Arizona, I had no idea you were waiting there for me. When we met, it was as though everything made sense - while the universe Said "Finally", so, too, did I say "Finally!"
I choose you - I choose you every day, as you are now and all the you’s destined to follow. You make me feel happier than I ever imagined and more loved than I ever thought possible. I hope I always make you feel the same way.
You are grit and I am glitter and together we can conquer anything. You have my hand and my heart, and I promise to encourage and inspire you and to be open to your encouragement and support too. You are my muse as much as I am yours.
While I don't need someone to complete me, I do need someone to accept me completely and you are that person. Thank you for keeping my, heart safe, for seeing the darkness and still voving me, for making me shine amd never dulling my sparkle.
Jean-Paul Sartre wrote "And when you die I will lie down beside you and love you as carcass. For you love nothing if you do not love everything." I vow to love you, carcass and all, until once again we're both little specks of space dust shimmering in sunlight and landing on ocean waves.
Poe wrote "Tell me every terrible thing you ever did and let me love you anyway." And I vow to love you as you are. I will love each future you the same as I have loved every you you've been so far.
I promise to be your designated extrovert and your biggest fan. I promise to stay curious about you, to inspire you and be inspired by you.
May we always flirt with each other, and woo and be weird with each other, and make each other laugh. May we always live in the moment and find adventures at home and off the beaten path. May we always inspire each other to be the best versions of ourselves, and to create and become art for each other.
We're in this life together grit and glitter, black and pink — and I've always got your back. You have no idea how excited I am to walk this earth with you now and to find you in the next life, until the next time the universe and I say "Finally."
