Attendee Guide to Our Betrothal

It is happening—

The day we wed is just short of a week away and we are eagerly anticipating this momentous occasion! To assist you in planning your attendance, here’s a brief guide to our wedding, which will be quite unconventional.

Parking for the Ceremony

Ample parking is available at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Please park in the church parking lot and safely make your way across the street to the main gates of Old Gray Cemetery. Our friendly security personnel will be stationed at the gates to offer any assistance you may require.

Parking for the Reception

It’s a game weekend in Knoxville which may cause congestion and parking difficulties in the Market Square area. You may find parking at the Market Square Garage, and off-street parking options may also be available.

Dress Code: Funeral Best

In keeping with the spirit of our unconventional wedding, we encourage you to dress in your finest funeral attire. As our special day falls on Friday the 13th in October, join us as we embrace a modern interpretation of Edgar Allan Poe's aesthetic. Black suits and dresses are highly recommended, and we would be delighted to see funeral veils adorning our guests. Tissues will not be provided.

Gifts and Registry

We have chosen not to create a wedding registry. You are under no obligation to purchase a wedding gift for us. Your presence and participation in celebrating our union are the greatest gifts we could ask for as we embark on this next chapter of our lives.

We look forward to sharing this extraordinary day with you and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
